Matsumoto joined JAIC in 1989 and served for 23 years before establishing WM. From 2002 Matsumoto was an Executive Director and CIO of Private Equity Secondaries and Growth Capital Investment of JAIC. From 2009 to 2012, he was the CEO and Chairman at JAIC. His global investment experience also includes DFJ-JAIC Technology Partners in the USA, and CA-JAIC China Internet Investment Fund with CyberAgent

Tokunaga started his career at JAIC in 2003. He was dedicated to venture investing and providing hands-on support to investee companies. In 2006, he joined JAIC’s PE secondaries team as an investment manager and was involved in all direct secondary transactions. From 2009, he worked closely with the CEO in the Corporate Planning Department and led the WMG fund team as a fund manager from 2011.

Suzuki joined Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. in 2006. After working in the corporate sales sector at Mizuho Bank, Ltd., he joined Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd. in 2011, where he was involved in IPO regulations and market reforms for startups, supporting them in going public. From 2014, he was engaged in PE fund and startup investments, the establishment of GP companies, the promotion of open innovation, and supporting the establishment of corporate venture capital (CVC) funds. He joined WM Partners in 2021.

Terabe started his career at Sojitz. In 1999, he served as the CFO of EBISTRADE, Inc.
He also provided consulting service for IT companies and so on. He supported new business development for clients such as Tokyo Gas and NTT.
In 2004, he joined JAIC’s PE secondaries team and get involved in all the processes from JSPF2 (JPY 8.0bn fund). He executed JPY 3.0bn after DD of 150 LP interest and 700 companies before joining WM.

Cui joined Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance in 2012. He initially worked in the Accounting Dept., mainly responsible for the financial monitoring and reporting of overseas entities. In 2016, he was sponsored to study in the MBA course of Hitotsubashi University. After his return to the company in 2017, he was assigned to sales promotion of derivative products at the Financial Solutions Dept. He was also engaged in investing private companies/startups and impact fund investment. He joined WM in January 2023.

Yamagiwa joined Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory LLC in 2021. He possesses expertise in deal valuation for various transactions. He also specializes in valuation for accounting purposes, supporting accurate financial reporting. While his primary focus lies within the financial sector, He has also gained valuable experience serving clients in the manufacturing, IT industries, etc. Additionally, he provides critical valuation assistance for Private Equity fund audit engagements. He joined WM in April 2025.

Xing started her career in MUFG China offering loan, financial derivates, AR liquidity solutions to Japanese corporate customers, being relationship manager in Mizuho China to serve for US and European MNCs, and product manager in DBS China specializing in supply chain finance. Joined Preqin Tokyo office in 2021 as business development manager engaged with GP and LP in Japan. Before joining WM, she was responsible for LP investment in Tokyo Star Bank, focusing on Japan domestic PEVC market. She joined WM Partners in May 2025.

Akita joined Marubeni Group Metro Access Co., Ltd. in 2000, Daiwa Securities SMBC Principal Investments Co., Ltd., JAIC, and joined AI Capital Co., Ltd. in 2010.
She was engaged in domestic and international private equity investment (secondary investment and fund monitoring), investment advisory management, and accounting.She joined WM in 2014.
